Intended use and safety

Updated onJune 29, 2026

Aidlab is intended for adults who want to record and review physiological signals for personal wellness, fitness, research, education, and data-analysis purposes.

Aidlab can record signals such as heart rate, 1-lead ECG, respiration, motion, body position, skin temperature, and related app-derived metrics, depending on the device model, app version, firmware version, accessories, and region.

What Aidlab is for

Use Aidlab to:

  • follow trends in your body during daily life, sleep, rest, and activity
  • review ECG, breathing, movement, temperature, HRV, and other supported measurements over time
  • export recordings for personal review, research, coaching, or discussion with a qualified healthcare professional
  • build or test applications using Aidlab SDKs and APIs

Aidlab measurements can help you notice patterns, but they do not determine whether you are healthy or sick.

What Aidlab is not for

Aidlab is not a medical device. Do not use Aidlab, the Aidlab app, exported reports, or Aidlab Cloud as a substitute for a medical device, professional medical advice, diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, prevention, or alleviation of any disease or medical condition.

Do not use Aidlab to:

  • diagnose heart disease, arrhythmia, sleep apnea, breathing disorders, fever, infection, stress disorders, or any other medical condition
  • detect heart attacks or other emergencies
  • decide whether to start, stop, or change medication, treatment, rehabilitation, or medical care
  • monitor a condition where delayed or missing alerts could create a health risk
  • replace a Holter ECG, polysomnography, pulse oximeter, thermometer, blood pressure monitor, or another prescribed medical test

If you have symptoms or concerns about your health, contact a qualified healthcare professional. If you experience chest pain, pressure, shortness of breath, fainting, symptoms of a heart attack, or another emergency, call emergency services immediately.

Who should not use Aidlab without medical advice

Ask a physician before using Aidlab, especially for longer ECG or respiration recordings, if you:

  • have a pacemaker, implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), neurostimulator, insulin pump, or another active implanted or body-worn electronic medical device
  • have a known heart rhythm disorder, serious heart disease, severe respiratory disease, or another condition that requires medical monitoring
  • are pregnant
  • have chest pain, unexplained shortness of breath, fainting, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms
  • have sensitive skin, wounds, burns, irritation, infection, or a rash where Aidlab or the strap would touch your skin

Aidlab is intended for adult users. Children and teenagers should not use Aidlab for health decisions, and should use it only under adult supervision.

Safe use

  • Use Aidlab only on intact skin.
  • Stop using Aidlab if the strap or electrodes cause pain, skin irritation, numbness, or unusual discomfort.
  • Do not wear the strap so tightly that it restricts breathing or circulation.
  • Do not use damaged accessories, cables, or straps.
  • Do not charge Aidlab while wearing it.
  • Do not use Aidlab as an alarm system for medical events.

Understanding results

Aidlab results can be affected by fit, electrode contact, movement, sweat, skin condition, body position, accessories, firmware, app settings, and the environment. Poor signal quality can lead to missing, noisy, or inaccurate measurements.

ECG rhythm classifications, sleep estimates, respiration estimates, HRV, stress, temperature, and other app-derived values are informational. They must be interpreted cautiously and, when health decisions are involved, reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional.
