Setting up a program

A Program in Aidlab Teams is a structured plan for monitoring, training, treatment support, or research. It organizes biosignal monitoring, exercises, questionnaires, and other tasks into one workflow for an individual or group of participants.

Types of programs

Therapy programs

  • Purpose: Ongoing treatment and monitoring for chronic conditions
  • Duration: Typically long-term (weeks to months)
  • Examples: Cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes management, hypertension monitoring
  • Components: Regular vital sign monitoring, medication tracking, lifestyle interventions

Rehabilitation programs

  • Purpose: Recovery and functional improvement after illness or injury
  • Duration: Usually medium-term (4-12 weeks)
  • Examples: Post-surgery recovery, stroke rehabilitation, physical therapy protocols
  • Components: Progressive exercises, mobility assessments, functional outcome measures

Research programs

  • Purpose: Data collection for clinical studies or research projects
  • Duration: Varies based on study design (days to years)
  • Examples: Sleep studies, drug efficacy trials, biomarker validation studies
  • Components: Standardized protocols, data collection schedules, outcome measurements

How to create a program

Step 1: access program creation

  1. Navigate to your team dashboard
  2. Click on "Programs" or "Create Program"
  3. Select "New Program" from the menu

Step 2: define program basics

Program information

  • Program Title: Choose a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Post-MI Cardiac Rehabilitation", "Sleep Apnea Monitoring Study")
  • Program Type: Select from Therapy, Rehabilitation, or Research
  • Description: describe the program's purpose and goals
  • Language: Set the primary language for program materials
  • Duration: Define the total program length (days, weeks, or months)

Target population

  • Inclusion Criteria: Define who is eligible for the program (patients, family members, athletes, etc.)
  • Exclusion Criteria: Specify conditions that would exclude participants
  • Age Range: Set minimum and maximum age limits if applicable
  • Health/Fitness Conditions: Identify target diagnoses, fitness levels, or health status

Step 3: configure monitoring parameters

Biosignal selection

Choose which physiological parameters to monitor:

Cardiovascular monitoring

  • ECG (Electrocardiogram): Heart rhythm and electrical activity
  • Heart Rate: Continuous or periodic heart rate monitoring
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV): Autonomic nervous system assessment
  • Blood Pressure: For integrated devices or manual entry

Respiratory monitoring

  • Respiration Rate: Breathing frequency and patterns
  • Respiratory Effort: Chest movement and breathing quality
  • Sleep Apnea Detection: breathing interruption markers during sleep, if available

Activity monitoring

  • Step Count: Daily activity levels
  • Physical Activity: Exercise intensity and duration
  • Sleep Monitoring: Sleep duration, quality, and patterns
  • Body Position: Posture and position tracking

Environmental and other

  • Skin Temperature: Body temperature monitoring
